InshAllah a “Royal Kill” at the boxoffice by the Muslim Director Babar Ahmed

Seems like there’s a new Muslim Director in town and his name is Babar Ahmed –no, not the “terrorist suspect” (more like terrorized)–but the British coughPakistanicough writer/director. He’s already won awards with his debut Genius (2003) including:

  • Outstanding Film Creativity. New York Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival, 2003
  • Gold Medal For Excellence. Audience Favorite. Park City Film Music Festival, 2004
  • Best Feature Film. Jury Award. Valleyfest Film Festival, 2003

And it seems now he’s coming up with a new film due to be released this April 10th 2009 called the “The Royal Kill” (http://www.royalkill.com/). Even Sheik Wikipedia has something to say about it:

Royal Kill is a 2009 psychological thriller starring Academy Award nominees Eric Roberts along with Lalaine and professional wrestler Gail Kim.

For those of you who don’t recognize some of the names in this film, Eric Roberts is from the movie The Dark Knight and Pat Morita is from The Karate Kid (OMA!).

Here’s some more info, hopefully this movie is running somewhere near you:
